C) An ordinance to amend Chapter 25. Zoning. Division B. Agriculture Districts. Article VII. General Agriculture (GA) Districts. Section 25-74. Uses permitted by Special Use Permit. R. Short-term rentals, bed and breakfasts, and vacation rentals. Amendment adds “no more than 2” tents, recreational vehicles, or campers under short-term rental provisions, under Special Use Permit, in General Agriculture zoned areas. Amendment clarified that such tents, recreational vehicles or campers that operate as short-term rentals shall contain a water flushed toilet or have confirmation from the Virginia Department of Health that the current or proposed sewage disposal systems is adequate. Amendment eliminates the requirement that the owner of record or a facility operator personally reside in the principal dwelling or accessory dwelling of the short-term rental.
