I cannot support this project. Eliminating the dog runs is critical to the mental and physical well-being of these animals. The exercise area being eliminated does not improve the situation that the county currently faces.

Also the numbers on page 1, paragraph 4 and 5 don't seem to add up.

Value engineering deduction - $1,310,000.00
Additional items and 10% contingency + 808,569.00
TOTAL $6,307,840.50

The document provided states: $6,308,569.00 as the total for this project. While it is only $728.50 over, this information is not accurate. Could it possibly be the figures associated with the Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta are incorrect based on the proposed NTE $5,500,000?
