    Board of zoning,
    I am in support of the proposed small solar project. I appreciate your time to do due diligence on projects in the county.
    My brother has a small solar field on his hillside to support his farm operation and sells excess to the electric coop. He loves the fact that it provides additional income on an area that he cannot farm with crops.
    I am surprised that a farmer/landowner still needs a permit to change a small field, under 100 acres. It's just one of many decisions a farm needs to make to survive. This project doesn't seem to be near a major highway or town so it's more of a personal/business choice for the farmer. There should be attached stipulations to removal when the life expectancy is expired and required maintenance, though that's pushing the line for care of barn structures.
    I support this and most small solar projects for farmers/landowners as their right to choose.
    I thought we had rewritten the land use plan to incorporate these small projects for land owners.
