In response to the group opposing the request I have read your "flyer" and spoke with a woman who was seeking signatures to oppose the Special Use Permit. My response to both:
    1. Your request of my signature occurred in the parking lot of the US Post Office in Weyers Cave. You were in your vehicle and existed to talk with me. Section 39 Code of Federal Regulations specifically states collecting signatures on US Postal Property is prohibited. Therefore all of your signatures should be ignored by the Board. There is no way to determine which signatures were obtained legally or not.

    2. In our discussion your said alcohol usage was not the main issue it was the extra traffic to Weyers Cave that you were against.
    A. Any property North of Chapel Hill Lane is located in Augusta County, not Weyers Cave. And I think if you consider most patrons will be coming down Keezletown Rd. from Rockingham County. They would never cross into Weyers Cave proper.
    B. You said you have lived in Weyers Cave for decades and wanted to keep it "peaceful" without the additional traffic. Asked if you opposed the Harshbarger Subdivision and the hundreds of vehicles with it. You did not oppose. Asked if opposed Valley Pike Market that has three food trucks, sells alcohol on and off premise and adds over 100 vehicles every single day of the week. You did not oppose. Valley Pike and Harshbarger are within the defined limits of Weyers Cave.
Your reasons are unfounded/twisted for your benefit
